The last year I’ve been DCA’ing bitcoin. I was suddenly laid off yesterday from a start up I had been at for 4 years, the ceo laid off everyone except one other. I was 1099 so I will not get unemployment. I had been told as recently as June I was the one employee who would always be there (lesson learned).
I have a couple of months of savings; for those who had to sell bitcoin for things like this, can you tell me how it went? I have an IRA I can withdraw from with a 10% penalty. My lease is up ironically end of this month and I’m going to move back home to live with my family. I’m late 30s, have been planning on my future heavily the last 5 years and am just looking to hear from others. Of course if I get to the point of $0 or barely living I will sell. To be honest, maybe I’m letting off steam a bit but I always promised myself I’d never sell bitcoin and let it grow until my niece could use it when she turns 18 (she’s 2).
